An autonomous agent changes your network outside a change window
What happens
Your own automation or an AI assistant with device credentials pushes a configuration change that no human requested (a routing policy, an ACL, a VLAN) because a task it was given made that seem like the right step.
Why it goes unnoticed today
Nothing alarms, because the change was syntactically valid and the device is up. The first symptom is an application ticket hours later, and nobody connects it to an actor that is not a person.
What REAP does Change Assurance · Incident Reasoning
Detects the configuration change on the next collection, shows the diff against the previous snapshot with the device’s own change log where the platform records an actor, and lists it beside the change records open for that window (automatic matching of changes to change records is in development), with the affected devices and paths; a rollback is proposed as an approval-gated runbook.
The question for your team
Can you list every configuration change made in the last 24 hours, with the actor, including automation and API accounts?
