ACL (access control list)

An ordered list of rules on a router, switch or firewall that permits or denies traffic by addresses, ports and protocols; the last rule is usually an implicit deny.

In REAP

The home page’s illustrative P1 is an ACL whose object group was edited: traffic that no longer matched fell to the final deny. Rule hit counts read twice, seconds apart, are the evidence that proves it.
